Havre High School named Carson Lunak and Kory Morehouse as its September 2020 students of the month.
The son of Jerry and Carmen, Carson, a senior, has four older siblings, Hannah, Buck, Keri and Jerrica.
Carson is a member of the Blue Pony football team and, outside of school, plays baseball for the Havre Northstars, lifts weights and works out. His hobbies and interests include fly fishing, golfing and snowboarding.
He was nominated by Heather Haney "because of his positive attitude, excellent work ethic and genuinely kind nature." Haney said Carson "is not afraid to ask questions and sincerely cares about his understanding of the material (not just) completing the assignment."
After graduating, Carson plans on earning his college degree and becoming an educator.
The son of Darlene and Jason, Kory, also a senior, has two siblings, Kaitlyn and Kyle.
When not in school, Kory enjoys spending his time biking and playing Grand Theft Auto 5.
Kory was nominated by LeAnn Haas because "he is always willing to perform any task given to him," she said. "He completes assignments without being told to do so (and) is friendly and always says hello to staff members and students. ... Even though school is just getting started, he has emerged as an early leader in my life skills class."
Currently, Kory plans on being a part of his family's farming business.
