Havre Police Department

Officers were called Monday at 10:46 a.m. to assist Hill County Sheriff's Office deputies with a vehicle chase that had entered city limits.

An officer called in a vehicle crash on Ninth Avenue at 11:08 a.m. Monday that resulted from the vehicle chase.

A Ninth Street caller reported suspicious activity at 4:28 p.m. Monday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log had no arrests, summonses or investigations listed for the 24-hour reporting period, other than two arrests related to a vehicle chase which is detailed in a brief in today's paper.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Monday and one this morning.

Firefighters were called Monday at 4:15 p.m. to the 3500 Block of U.S. Highway 2 West for a gas odor. They were notified that NorthWestern Energy crew had also been called to the scene, and upon arrival the fire crew was notified by NorthWestern that the smell was from sewer gas.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held six 9-month-old kittens and six cats all of unknown gender, two female 18-month-old kittens and two male cats.

The shelter also held two male mixed-breed dogs, a 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two female mixed-breed dogs, a male Akita dog, a male 9-month-old shepherd puppy, a male 26-week-old shepherd puppy, a female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male 19-week-old shepherd puppy.
