Burned trees contrast with living growth on Mount Otis in Beaver Creek Park. The East Fork Fire in 2017, which burned nearly 22,000 acres in the Bear Paw Mountains, burned onto Beaver Creek Park including Mount Otis. This year's fire season in this part of north-central Montana was relatively quiet compared to 2017.
