While people may be concerned about traditional trick-or-treating during the COVID-19 pandemic and some traditional events are canceled, local groups, communities, businesses and organizations are having some events for people to celebrate the holiday.
Some of the local events are:
District 4 Human Resources Development Council is holding a drive-through trunk or treat today from 1-3 p.m. in its east parking lot at 2229 Fifth Ave.
Taco Treat is holding a pumpkin carving contest. People can stop down and vote for their favorite.
Bounce On In will be at the at the former North 40 location in on the southwest end of Holiday Village Mall Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. People can wear their costume and receive enjoy a free 10 minute bounce as well as treats.
People can also make their way into the main mall area of Holiday Village to trick-or-treat through participating businesses.
Timber Creek Assisted Living is holding a drive-through candy drop Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. Residents will be watching through the windows as treats are being handed out.
Chinook’s second annual trunk-or-treat is Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Main Street in front of Finley’s Food Farm at 400 Indiana St. Cars can line up from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Fifth Avenue Christian Church in Havre is holding a drive-through trunk-or-treat Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot at the church at 2015 Fifth Avenue.
Tilleman Motor Company is holding a trunk-or-treat Friday until 5:30 p.m. and Saturday until 3 p.m., located at both the Chevy and Dodge stores.
Havre Elks Halloween Craft Show is Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Havre Elks Lodge 1201 at 321 Second Ave. The event has free admission, a trunk-or-treat for kids and a costume contest at 2:30 p.m.
