Havre Police Department

Cody Arthur Shortman of Havre, 36, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a First Street business reported Thursday at 9:20 a.m. that they had a shoplifter in custody.

Officers investigated a remote breathalyzer test violation reported at the police station Thursday at 10:26 a.m.

Mona Louise Wells of Havre, 61 was issued a summons on a charge of theft of lost or mislaid property after a caller at a First Street business reported the theft of $20 Thursday at 10:56 a.m.

Officers were asked at 2:45 p.m. Thursday to provide assistance at a Fourth Street facility.

--

A two-vehicle crash between a Chevrolet and a Pontiac Grand Prix was reported on First Street Thursday at 8:24 p.m.

--

A caller reported at 11:41 p.m. Thursday on the Montana State University-Northern campus that a car window had been broken.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to eight calls in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats and a 6-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, one male and three female 17-week-old kittens, one male cat and two female cats.

The shelter also held a male Akita dog, female mixed-breed dog, a mixed-breed male dog, a male 25-week-old shepherd puppy, a female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male 17-week-old shepherd puppy.
