More changes to Blue Pony volleyball schedule

The Havre High volleyball team's home schedule is now over. The Blue Ponies were supposed to play Hardin in a varsity-only match this afternoon in the HHS gymnasium, but that match has been canceled.

Per Havre High Activities Director Brian Kessler, Hardin High School canceled the match with the Ponies. Hardin is immediately moving to remote learning, and the school is suspending all non-essential activities.

The loss of the Hardin match means the Ponies, winner's of six straight after Tuesday night's sweep of Sidney, have just one final match left in the regular season. Havre will travel to Billings for a match against top-ranked Billings Central Saturday night. The match is a non-conference affair and will close out the regular season for both teams.

Havre (8-4) currently sits in second place in the Northeast A Conference, and will be a top four seed at next week's Eastern A Divisional Tournament, which will be played in Lewistown. The tournament had originally been slated to be held in Billings and Laurel but has since been moved to Lewistown. Lewistown will also be the site of the 2020 Class A State Volleyball Tournament. The All-Class State Tournament, normally held every year in Bozeman, has been canceled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
