The Montana State University-Northern cross country teams inched closer to the postseason, which will come to Havre in two weeks time.
Last Friday, though, the Lights and Skylights raced in the Bulldogs Invitational in Dillon.
For the women, There were 44 individuals running at the invite. Kaylee Nystrom led the Skylights, as she crossed the finish line in 32nd place with a time of 22:06.00. Grace Schwenk crossed the line in 41st place with a time of 23:24.3. Raini Jonson ran a time of 23:53.70 crossing the finish line in 43rd place.
The Lights finished sixth in the Montana Western Bulldog Open. Altogether, there were 54 runners competing in the race. Field Soosloff led the Lights running at 27:25.90 taking 6th place. Kai Krumwiede took 21st with a time of 29:02.70. Liam Baez-Terry placed 26th with a time of 29:28.80. Daniel Kirwa took 32nd place with a time of 30:14.70.
Northern will host the Frontier Conference Championships Nov. 6.
