Dylan Young, Havre Cross Country

Havre High senior Dylan Young saved his best for last. At the Montana State Cross Country Championships last Friday in Kalispell, Young ran an 18:01 to finish in 36th place overall in the Class A boys race. Young, the lone senior on the Pony boys squad, recorded a season-best time in the race and helped Havre to a 12th-place finish overall. Young was a four-year runner for the Blue Ponies.

Alaynee Hawley, Harlem Volleyball

In the final weekend of the regular season, the Harlem volleyball team played six matches in three days. And in a pair of wins over Poplar, Alaynee Hawley came up big. Hawley totaled 18 kills to go along with 11 aces in the two matches against Poplar last Friday, while she also led Harlem in kills in matches against Glasgow and Wolf Point, as well. Hawley and the Wildcats play at the 2B tournament in Malta this weekend.
