Obituary - Wayne E. Healy

Wayne E. Healy, 73, passed away due to COVID at the Northern Montana Care Center Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

Cremation has taken place, and the family will be holding a private celebration of his life at a later date.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Wayne was born December 30, 1946, in Fort Belknap to William "Bud" and Dolores (Brisbo) Healy. He was raised in Fort Belknap, attending school at the Mission in Hays. Wayne obtained his GED and then entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served multiple tours in Vietnam, including at Wounded Knee. There he fought enemies, both foreign and domestic. He was a true warrior.

Upon his return, Wayne worked as a mechanic for a time until his military injuries caused the VA to determine that he was disabled. In 1976, he married Audrey Mae Moore, and the couple lived their lives intertwined until her death in 2000.

Wayne was a truly kind man with a wonderful smile who enjoyed traveling, playing his guitar, and singing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Moore) Healy; parents, Bud and Dolores Healy; sisters Arlene Healy-Morin, Annette Fox, and Iodine Walker; brothers, Ronald, Marvin, David, James, and Caulder "Chopper" Healy, and nephews Mike "Iggy" Morin and Thomas G. Healy-Berger.

He is survived by his son, Wayne E. "E.J." Healy Jr. of Canada; companion, Linda Morsette; step-daughter, Rosella Moore; grandchildren, Tim, Curtis, and Trisella Healy and Manuel Garcia; four great-grandchildren; sisters Cammie Doney of Hays, Barbara Healy of Idaho, Audrey (Neal) Clayborn of Havre, Terri Healy of Hays, Debra (Harvey "Joe Boy") Morsette of Rocky Boy and Elaine Healy-Berger and Francine Brockie, both of Havre; brother-in-law Henry Valdez; special nieces, Arlene Cochran, Angela and Rose Welch, Audrey Flansburg, Adrienne Love, Bryar Fillham, Shelly Sanchez, Krystle, Kaydee, Pearl, Ramona, and Elaine Morsette, and Christina Kinsey; special nephews, William and Taz Cochran, Harvey Herrig, Tommy, D.J. and Mikey Welch, Ira, Damien and Tim Healy, Sheldon Flying, Chug, Warren, and Ken Morin, and Mike and Mush Morsette; and numerous cousins and other extended family and friends.
