Havre's Tamera O'Leary is crazy about running
Havre High senior Tamera O'Leary runs in the Havre Invitational cross country meet last month at Prairie Farms Golf Course. O'Leary has been one of Havre's top runners for all four years, and is looking to achieve a personal best time at this weekend's Class A state cross country meet, which will be held Friday in Kalispell.
When it comes to running, there’s really only two schools of thought. Some people love it, and do it routinely. The other half just thinks those people are crazy.
But Havre High senior cross country standout Tamera O’Leary is a little bit of both. O’Leary, a four-year varsity runner for the Blue Ponies, is certainly dedicated to her sport, but she certainly sees the other side.
“Yes, I don’t understand why we voluntarily run 3.2 miles for fun,” she said.
