Jaycees Haunted House canceled to slow spread of COVID-19

Staff and wire report

The Havre Jaycees has announced that, due to the risk of COVID-19, it will not hold its annual haunted house fundraised it holds during Halloween season each year.

“Each year the Havre Jaycees do the Haunted House to bring some fun to our community and also take all of the canned food donations to our local food bank,” the service organization said in a post on its Facebook page. “It is by far one of our favorite projects that we enjoy putting on for the Havre area.

“This year we have been faced with many challenges,” the post continued. “The Jaycees have everyone's health and safety in mind when we come to decisions that impact everyone.”

“With that all being said, we will not be holding our Haunted House this year,” the post concludes. “We appreciate the local businesses and all of our volunteers for continuously supporting us each year, and we ask for your support now in the current situation we all face in this world.”
