Havre Middle School lists students of the month

HMS Seventh-Grade Student of the Month for September is Selah Dawson.

Selah is the daughter of Scott and Serena Dawson. She has two sisters, Sophia and Savannah Dawson.

Selah participates in Havre Middle School band and is a player on the basketball team. In her spare time, she is involved in Girl Scouts and softball and enjoys hanging out with her friends.

At the middle school, Selah is an exemplary student in all aspects. Mrs. Criner commented on how she excels academically and uses her knowledge to assist her peers in any way possible. Her character sets her apart and is a huge reason she will find success in years to come.

Selah strives to continue her education after high school and pursue a college degree.

Koda Windy Boy is HMS' Eighth-Grade Student of the Month for September.

Koda is the grandson of Denise Windy Boy. He has five brothers and sisters, Kasee, Kreedence, Kruz, Kendall and Kenedee.

At the middle school, Koda participates in the choir. Outside of school, Koda enjoys activities outside with his family and spends time playing video games with friends.

At HMS, Koda's teachers love his positive attitude and dedication to work hard even during remote learning. Mrs. Keller comments on his determination to find a way through roadblocks and his ability to advocate for himself. Ms. Lipp adds that he is a joy to have in class and how his creative comments and ideas enhance classroom discussions.

Koda's future goals are to become a pharmacist and impact the world in a positive way.
