The Montana State University-Northern golf, cross country and rodeo seasons continued last week.
The Northern golf teams had a solid showing at the Carroll College Invitational Sept. 22, with both the Lights and Skylights taking third.
On the men's side, MSU-N shot a 330 team score. Troy Amsdon led the Lights taking 15th with a score of 76 (4 over par). Kyle Vandenacre took 21st with a score of 83 (11 over par). T.J. Reynolds took 22nd, as Dustin Haas and Matt Kreuger took 23rd and 24th, respectively.
The Skylights also finished third overall, led by a fifth-place finish from Megan VandenAcre, who shot an 87. Tiara Gilham took 10th with a total score of 93 (21 over par). ShaAnn Danielson took 13th, as Leotie Whitehead took 14th.
MSU-N then took part in the Oredigger Invitational Sunday at Old Works. The Lights took 4th. T.J. Reynolds led the Lights taking 11th with a score of 81. Troy Amsdon took 19th with a score of 86. Dustin Haas took 21st. Tiara Gilham led the Skylights taking 11th place with a total score of 103. Megan Vandenacre and Leotie Whitehead tied for 13th, each with a score of 109. ShaAnn Danielson took 16th. The MSU-N golf teams travel to the Rocky Mountain Invitational this Sunday.
In cross country, the Northern teams traveled to Helena last week for the Frontier Conference Rumble hosted by Carroll College. The Northern men were paced by an outstanding showing from Field Soosloff, who placed second overall with a time of 27:08.70. Liam Baez-Terry placed 20th with a time of 29:05.70. Daniel Kirwa took 21st place with a time of 29:29.70 and right behind him Kai Krumwiede in 22th.
Allison Tigert led the Skylights, as she crossed the finish line in 14th place with a time of 20:05.10. Kaylee Nystrom crossed the line in 28th place with a time of 21:27.7. Grace Schwenk ran a time of 22:02.00 crossing the finish line in 31th place.
Northern will be back to racing Oct. 9 at the Battlin' Bears Invite in Billings.
