More cases of COVID-19 are being confirmed in this part of north-central Montana as daily totals for the state continue to outpace anything seen before this month.
Hill County reported Thursday evening 10 new cases were confirmed in the county, while Blaine County reported six new cases and Chouteau County reported two.
"We can not reiterate enough how important it is to follow the guidance of public health professionals," Blaine County Health Department said in its release reporting the numbers. "If you are asked to isolate or quarantine, please follow those recommendations. Our county is relying on you to be part of the solution to being able to slow the spread of the virus."
Liberty County reported no new cases, with six active cases and 14 recoveries bringing its total to 20 cases confirmed,
Hill County now has 186 total cases, 43 active with one hospitalization, and 140 recoveries and three deaths.
Blaine County has 35 total cases, 17 active and one hospitalization with 18 recoveries.
Chouteau County now has 31 total cases, 19 active and 21 recovered.
The numbers now include confirmed cases in Northern Montana Care Center and the schools in Havre, Chinook, Harlem and Box Elder, with Box Elder and Harlem schools returning to distanced learning only when the cases were confirmed this week.
The new daily confirmations in Montana continue to break 300.
Montana's COVID-19 response tracking map and data this morning listed 348 new cases confirmed, binging the state to a total of 13,071 with 3,635 active cases, 170 hospitalizations and the tally of COVID-19-related deaths now up to 180.
