From the Courts - State District Court: Woman sentenced to probation on drug charge

Elizabeth Helene Schmautz was sentenced in state District Court to two years probation on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Schmautz was charged June 24, 2019, with the felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs charge and misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

She pleaded guilty in a plea agreement June 1 to the felony charge.

State District Judge Kaydee Snipes Ruiz sentenced Schmautz Sept. 14 to two yeas with the state Department of Corrections, all suspended, and ordered her to pay $80 in fees and surcharges.
