United Way holding online auction fundraiser

Taking place of pandemic-canceled crab boil

United Way of Hill County has announced an online auction fundraiser is underway, taking the place of traditional events canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The “Change Begins With You” online auction is now taking bids on items to help support United Way of Hill County, a press release said.

The auction is a replacement for the crab boil traditionally held in the fall as fundraiser.

Money from the fundraisers goes to help United Way’s support of local agencies. The local funded partners this year are the local Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA, District 4 Human Resources Development Council Victim Services, Adult HiSet, DUI/ Drug Court, Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen, Havre Community Food Bank, Salvation Army, Family Planning, Senior Volunteer Center and Meals on Wheels.

The release said bidding will close at noon Sunday, Sept. 27.

“Please check out our page, United Way of Hill County, and bid on some of these great items,” the release said.  Your support is appreciated.”
