Obituary - Dustin Kent Shulund

It is with great sadness that the family of Dustin Kent Shulund announces his passing. On September 16, 2020 he unexpectedly died in his sleep at his home in Portland, Oregon, of natural causes. He was 51 years old at the time of his death.

Memorial arrangements will held privately by his family.

Dusty was born on September 4, 1969 in Big Sandy, Montana, to Mel and Donna Shulund. His early years were marked by his love of animals, insects, and reptiles.

He was raised in Havre, Montana, and graduated from Havre High School in 1988. He was known as being kind and empathetic. His empathy and desire to help others led to his pursuing a master's degree in social work and his career as a therapist. He was in the process of establishing his own practice at the time of his death.

Dusty was adventurous, leading to his travels around the world where he made many new and interesting friends.

Dusty was preceded in death by his father, Mel.

He will be missed by his immediate family: his mother, Donna; his brothers, Jeff and Kurt, and many extended family members and friends.
