The COVID-19 pandemic canceled many regular Festival Days activities, but it couldn't shut everything down with some groups persevering to celebrate the weekend.
Those activities included Friday seeing the annual Steve Heil Memorial Car Show take a cruising turn with car owners driving their classics on Fifth Avenue and First Street, and a street dance with a performance by Sax Cadillac and a vendor show on the street by The Atrium Mall and more performances inside.
Friday also saw an evening of food and entertainment at the Eagles Club with a hamburger feed and a comedy show by Jack Willhite and then music by Band Flansburg.
And the pandemic couldn't stop the longstanding 48-hour softball tournanent, running from Friday through Saturday.
Events continued Saturday, with the Havre Lions Club setting a drive-through offering at the Great Northern Fairground of its popular Pronto Pups and cheese fries Saturday and Sunday. The Lions usually sell their offerings during the Great Northern Fair, which was canceled this year due to the pandemic.
And people came out in droves for the special offering, with cars Saturday backed from the concessions area past the Bigger Better Barn, all along the south road on the east end of the fairgrounds and people waiting on Second Street West to turn in.
And another vendor fair was Saturday as well, with booths and tables filling the former North 40 location at Holiday Village Mall and on the parking lot for a Festival of Shopping with vendors and a farmer's market.
Havre Eagles scheduled more Festival Days activity Saturday night with a cornhole tournament, and the Havre Trap Club held its annual Moonlight Shoot Saturday at the club south of Havre.
The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce again sponsored its Festival Days buttons, and merchants were invited to participate in a window decorating contest.
The Chamber also offered a special event for the youth with a coloring congtest.
