Klobofski starts as director of community development at Bear Paw Development

Bear Paw Development Corp. announced it recently selected Chris Klobofski of Havre to serve as the organization's Director of Community Development, responsible for managing the Economic Development District's portfolio of local government infrastructure projects that include drinking water systems, wastewater systems, bridges and other physical enhancements to communities in northern Montana. 

"I am very excited about this new opportunity to make a positive difference for the communities of northern Montana," Klobofski said. "Bear Paw Development has a good track record of managing complex projects, coordinating strategic investments in community infrastructure and helping to assure this area remains a great place to live and raise a family.  I'm pleased to be a part of this dynamic organization."

"Our community development work of helping to rehabilitate the area's aging infrastructure is a core function of how we've been serving the needs of our region for more than five decades. Chris will bring enthusiasm and a local perspective to this task."

Klobofski is a Havre native, Montana State University-Northern graduate in business technology, small business owner, former lead carman for BNSF Railway and

has been active with the Blue Pony Booster Club and the Transportation Communications International Union during his time with the railroad.

He currently serves on the board of directors of Havre Youth Hockey and coaches soccer, baseball and softball. 

He is married to Lorianne Klobofski and they have two children, Ryan and Kensi.
