Clarification - City Council approves street closures for vendor, band events

In an article about a planned street dance and vendor fair presented to Havre City Council Tuesday that was published in Wednesday’s edition of the Havre Daily News, event organizers were cited as saying the Hill County Health Department had OK’d the events although it would not recommend them. Hill County Health Director said the department’s recommendation was that the events not be held. Havre Mayor Tim Solomon said during Tuesday’s meeting that the health department has told him it would not recommend any event with 50 or more people, but it would work with event organizers to plan those events.
