Havre Police Department

A caller at Second Street and Third Avenue reported Friday at 11:06 a.m. that a Ford pickup truck had backed into a minivan.

Officers investigated a Friday 12:28 p.m. report of a vehicle crash on Second Street.

Frank Eli McConnell III of Roseville, California, 43, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license during a vehicle stop on 12th Avenue at 4:03 p.m. Friday.

A Friday 7:07 p.m. caller reported tires had been slashed on a vehicle in the Fifth Avenue alley.

--

Two counterfeit $20 bills were reported at a First Street business Friday at 10:20 p.m.

Melynda Dionne Werk of Billings, 40, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller at a First Street Northeast residence reported loud music and a possible party Friday at 11:29 p.m.

Kade S. Lanier of Havre, 24, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served on First Street after a caller reported Saturday at 2:01 p.m. a man with a warrant was in the back seat of a vehicle.

Adrian Tyrell Chiefstick of Rocky Boy, 38, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, careless driving, seat belt violation, open container in a vehicle and driving without vehicle insurance during a 9:07 p.m. Saturday vehicle stop on Fifth Avenue prompted by a First Street caller's report of a reckless driver at 9:02 p.m.

Sunday at 10:28 a.m., a caller reported a two-vehicle, non-injury crash on 13th Street.

Two 12-year-old boys were each issued a summons on an assault charge after a Lincoln Avenue caller reported a past assault Sunday at 1:39 p.m.

--

A hit-and-run crash was reported on 12th Avenue Sunday at 3:02 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller on the north side reported a vehicle theft Friday at 8:29 a.m.

Heather Ann Durbin of Havre, 30, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served Friday at 4:21 p.m.

--

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a trespasser at 3:43 p.m. Saturday.

--

James Christopher Giddens of Havre, 41, was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault after a caller made a complaint Sunday at 6:13 p.m. on U.S. Highway 2 West.

--

A fake $20 bill was reported at a Box Elder establishment Sunday at 6:24 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Friday, three calls Saturday and two call Sunday.

--

Firefighters were called Sunday at 10:09 p.m. to the 1300 Block of First Street to help people locked in an elevator. An employee used a key to get the people out while the fire units were en route, and the management was advised to shut down the elevator until it could be fixed.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 4-week-old kittens, four 7-week-old kittens and a cat all of unknown gender, two female cats, three male 7-month-old kittens, two male cats and one male 19-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held three male and two female mixed-breed 14-week-old puppies, two female mixed-breed dogs, a female 19-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male Akita dog, two male 11-week-old mixed-breed dogs and a female 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy.

Births

A girl was born Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, to KasSaundra and Robert Jetmore of Havre.
