Crews lay fiber optic cable east of Havre. The cable is being laid from Havre to Malta for Charter Communications.
Charter Communication is placing fiber optic cables around Havre and other Hi-Line communities.
Charter Communications Senior Director Bret Picciolo said physical construction for this project has been underway for several months.
"We are currently performing network upgrades in the area that will allow us to deliver the full suite of Spectrum Internet, TV, Voice and Mobile products to several Hi-Line communities," he said.
Charter plans to launch these services in early 2021, he said.
He added that more details will be shared as that information becomes available at a later date.
