Denise Priscilla Stump, 58, was in the Hill County Detention Center this morning facing charges including attempted deliberate homicide after officers were called by emergency medical technicians to a scene early Sunday morning.
Bail had not yet been set in the case.
Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich said this morning that medical personnel were dispatched at 4:11 a.m. Sunday to a report that a man had been injured when he fell and hit his head.
Matosich said the medical technicians called the police when they found he had several stab wounds to his head.
He said officers interviewed witnesses at the scene and found the knife suspected to be used in the attack.
Stump was arrested on suspicion of attempted deliberate homicide, assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
