MSU-Extension Agent, Jasmine Carbajal, will be offering the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Training and Exam Monday, Aug. 31.
The training course covers critical information related to personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature abuse, receiving and storage of food, food safety management systems and more.
This class also includes the certification exam, which consists of 90 multiple-choice questions. The training is $115, and it covers the ServSafe Manager book, lunch, exam sheet and exam. Upon the successful completion of the exam, participants are certified for five years.
The training will begin at 8:30 a.m. with check-in at the 4-H Chuckwagon. It is expected to conclude by 5 p.m.
ServSafe is a nationally recognized food safety training for food industry employees and managers. All participants must register by Wednesday. Anyone interested in taking this course can contact Carbajal at the MSU-Extension office at 406-400-2333 or emailing [email protected].
There is limited space, so she recommends that people not wait to register. All participants will be required to bring a face covering and are expected to follow any governor’s COVID-19 guidelines the county is under at the time of the class.
