Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a Wednesday 11:36 a.m. report of a vehicle rolling into a tree on Cleveland Avenue.

A two-vehicle crash was reported on First Street West at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday.

A Ninth Avenue caller reported Wednesday at 3:24 p.m. that medication was stolen.

--

Desmond Thomas Ferguson of Havre, 26, was arrested on eight Justice or City court warrant during a vehicle stop on First Street Wednesday 6:47 p.m.

Michael Jay Stump of Havre, 46, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after an officer was called to Third Street for a well-being check on the caller's relative Wednesday at 11:59 p.m., and officers reported at 12:16 a.m. they would be on foot looking for a man.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summons issued or investigations during the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday and two calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a 1:40 p.m. fire call on the 800 Block of Fourth Street that turned out to be an accidental alarm activation.

Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department

Firefighters, landowners and Beaver Creek Park employees responded at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday to a fire in the park on the border with private land east of Rotary Pond. The fire was contained to about 1 ½ acres, and the cause is still under investigation. Bear Paw VFD Chief Josh Bebee said people should be careful and watchful in the next few days because weather forecasts for the nest few days calls for a continuation of the heat and low humidity with the possibility of dry lightning and high winds.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four 6-week-old kittens of unknown gender, four male cats, two female cats, two male 6-month-old kittens, one female 11-week-old kitten and one male 18-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held three male and two female mixed-breed puppies, three female 15-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a female 17-week-old mixed breed puppy, a male border collie-Australian cattle dog-blue heeler cross, a male Akita dog and a male mixed-breed dog.

Births

A boy was born Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020, to Larissa Long Fox and Christopher Johnson of Fort Belknap.
