Harriett B. Brown, 92, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital Wednesday, August 15, 2020.
Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Abundant Life Ministries with Pastor Brian Barrows officiating.
Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Harriett was born to Lester O. and Hazel O. (Golie) Anderson on September 12, 1927, in the Township of Anchenwill, Saskatchewan, Canada. In 1937, her parents and family returned to Havre, Montana, to live. Her father died the following year. She then went to live with an aunt in Minnesota for a year. She then attended school in Havre, MT, and later went to live with evangelists in Montebello, CA, where she graduated from high school.
She returned to Havre and was employed in the office of Buttrey Foods Inc. She married Harry J. Brown on June 20, 1948, at the age of 21. She became the mother of Harry's three children and helped raise them to adulthood.
Harriett also worked for a time for Patten's Furniture Store, at Havre Builders Supply, at Havre Easter Seal Center Hearing Conservation Program and then worked for Edward Jones until she retired.
Harriett loved working in her large garden and yard in Havre and loved berry picking near the cabin by Essex, MT. She was an active member of Havre Foursquare Church, now Abundant Life Ministries Church, and was a past state president of Aglow International. Serving the Lord was a priority in her life. She provided a Bible study for nine years at the Havre Detention Center where she touched many lives.
Harriett was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Brown; her son Richard J. Brown; daughter, Sharon J. Armitage; sisters Donna Jensen and Eunice Traina; and brother Richard Stees.
She is survived by her son Jim Brown and his family in Renton, WA; her sister Erma; brothers Lester "Roland" Anderson and Oris "Andy" Anderson; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was an avid reader of her Bible every morning for nearly 50 years. Her favorite Bible verse was the 23rd Psalm.
