Editor’s note: This version corrects an error misreported in the Havre Police dispatch log provided to the Havre Daily News about an underage party where the report said people were arrested when they were issued summonses and misreported some of the charges.

Havre Police Department

Skyler John Melby of Kremlin, 29, was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, careless driving and failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance; Paula Donoven Melby of Kremlin, 58, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer of other public servant; Nicholas Theodore Henderson of Havre, 30, was issued a summons on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance; and Larissa Marie Floren of Havre, 30, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servants after a caller at Second Street West and Third Avenue West reported a two-vehicle crash at 2:22 p.m. Friday.

Officers investigated a theft reported Friday at 2:44 p.m. at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business.

Officers did a walk-through at a First Street establishment at 12:40 a.m. Saturday.

Barend Christof Duplessis of Fairview, Oklahoma, 26, was issued a summons on an open container charge at 12:54 a.m. at First Street and 14th Avenue.

A 14-year-old girl was issued a summons on charges of minor in possession, juvenile curfew violations and probation violation and another 14-year-old girl was issued a summons on charges of MIP and juvenile curfew violations after an officer stopped to investigate suspicious activity at Havre Community Pool Saturday at 2:56 a.m.

Derek Thomas Briere of Havre, 37, in the course of a series of interactions with law enforcement, was arrested on charges of no driver's license, driving under the influence and failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance. Briere entered the lobby of the police station Saturday at 4:20 a.m., he was connected to an assault reported on the north side at 4:23 a.m. and a caller at the hospital requested at 6:34 a.m. that he be removed from the building for yelling and being belligerent.

Maya Main of Havre, 18, was issued a summons on an MIP charge after an officer stopped to investigate an individual hiding in the bushes on Fifth Street at 5:27 a.m. Saturday.

Samantha Jamie Jo Descharm of Havre, 32, was arrested on a charge of theft after a caller on U.S. Highway 2 of reported Saturday at 8:50 a.m. that a cousin had stolen a SIM card.

A caller at a Montana State University-Northern residence hall reported a stolen PlayStation 4 Saturday at 4:41 p.m.

Martin Duane Flying Jr. of Box Elder was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault causing reasonable apprehension after a domestic disturbance was called in Saturday at 8:38 p.m. on First Street Northeast and an officer stopped to speak with him on First Street.

After a loud party with possible underage drinking was reported Saturday at 10:12 p.m. on McKinley Avenue, summonses were issued to Kinsey Adkins of Havre, 18, and Katie Ann Wirtzberger of Havre, 18, Tyrel Kjerson of Havre, 18, Quinn Phillip Reno of Havre, 19, Jessalyn Rose Chvilicek of Havre, 18, Jocelyn Demontiney of Box Elder, 18, Jacob Steven Huston of Havre, 18, Quinn Springer of Havre, 18, and Nick Lee Molitor of Havre, 18, on charges of MIP, Heather Autumn Mulonet of Havre, 44, on charges of unlawful transactions with children and social host violation; and Ann Marie Chvilicek of Havre, 51, on a charge of unlawful transactions with children.

After a party with a juvenile runaway and underage drinking was reported by a Third Street caller at 10:18 p.m. Saturday, a 13-year-old, four 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were each issued a summons on an MIP charge; a 13-year-old was issued a summons on charges of MIP and social host violation; and a 14-year-old was issued a summons on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and MIP.

Dyllan James Murray of Havre, 20, was issued a summons on charges of failing to give notice of an accident and failing to back safely after a caller at a First Street West business reported a hit and run crash at 1:49 a.m. Sunday.

Elias Rene Lovo of Havre, 38, was arrested on a charge of partner of family member assault after someone stopped at the police station Sunday at 10:52 a.m. to report a domestic disturbance.

A Sixth Avenue caller reported Sunday at 1:28 p.m. that a bike was stolen.

--

A dog bite was reported by a caller at the hospital Sunday at 7:36 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a fight reported Friday at 11:51 a.m. on 36th Avenue Northeast.

After a caller on 36th Avenue West reported a noise complaint and possible underage drinking Friday at 11:54 p.m., Nick Lee Molitor of Havre, 18, was issued a summons on charges of endangering the welfare of children and MIP and Taylor Jayde Harwood of Havre, 18, Adler Blake Morgan of Havre, 19, Joseph Edward Bender of Havre, 18, and a 15-year-old of Havre were each issued a summons on an MIP charge.

Deputies investigated a 4:23 a.m. report made to officers at the police station about an assault on the north side of Havre.

An incident was reported Saturday at 7:11 p.m. at Great Northern Fairgrounds.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Friday, five calls Saturday and three calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 7:25 a.m. on the 600 Block of Fifth Street North and, after no gas was detected determined that the battery was low in the detector.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 6-month-old kittens, one 10-week-old kitten and one cat all of unknown gender, two female cats, one male cat and one male 16-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held three female and one male 14-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a female 16-week-old mixed breed puppy, a male Akita dog and a male German shepherd.

Births

A girl was born Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, to Alana Demontiney and William Denny.
