The Montana Griz football team had pretty good luck with the last Blue Pony to play in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Now, the Griz have went and got themselves another Havre High standout. On Monday night, Havre High senior to be Kellen Detrick announced via his Twitter account that he is verbally committing to Montana and head coach Bobby Hauck. Detrick, a two-time Class A All-State defensive player is projected to play linebacker or end for the Grizzlies. He is a three-star recruit, and was rated the No. 2 high school prospect in the state according to 247 Sports. Detrick is also an All-State basketball player for the Ponies. Detrick is also the second Blue Pony in the last two senior classes to earn a scholarship to a Griz athletic team, as Kyndall Keller will join the Lady Griz basketball program laster this month.
