Havre Police Department

A hit and run crash that damaged a blue Chevrolet Malibu was reported at 7:03 a.m. Wednesday on Third Street.

Havre Police Department personnel at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday reported a theft of SCRAM equipment belonging to the department.

Dixie Lynn Hernandez of Havre, 49, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving after a caller on First Street West reported a possible intoxicated driver headed west at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle crash involving a Dodge and a Ford Ranger was reported on Second Street Wednesday at 1:03 p.m.

Someone stopped at the police station Wednesday at 8:37 p.m. to report that a child's bike had been taken.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Someone stopped at the sheriff's office Wednesday at 1 p.m. to ask for assistance.

Deputies were asked at 3:03 p.m. to assist another agency with an investigation on 14th Street Northeast.

John Melvin Birdtail of Havre, 27, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other pubic servant and two Justice or City court warrants.

Jarrell J. Lasley of Macy, Nebraska, 26, was arrested on charges of DUI and no driver's license after Rocky Boy Police Department officers stopped him at their Laredo Road checkpoint at 1:40 this morning.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one 8-week-old, one 26-week old kitten and one cat both of unknown gender, six female cats, one male cat and one male 15-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held two dogs: A female mixed-breed and a male Akita.
