Cameron James Eagleman was sentenced to the state Department of Corrections for five years in a plea agreement on a series of charges including assault.
Eagleman was charged Oct. 15 with felony counts of partner or family member assault, wth at least four prior convictions on that offense, and attempted tampering with a witness or informant and misdemeanor accounts of negligent endangerment, unlawful restraint and resisting arrest.
In a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty June 1 to the partner or family member assault charge.
State District Judge Kaydee Snipes Ruiz last Monday sentenced Eagleman in state District Court in Havre to five years with credit for 72 days served, waived all costs and recommended DOC screen Eagleman and place him in appropriate chemical dependency and violence intervention programs.
