Havre's Cassie Gibson competes in the Havre Junior Rodeo last July. This year's junior rodeo was canceled due to the coronavirus, but Gibson and her sister Mary are still competing this summer.
The Gibson girls of Havre are doing quite well once again on the junior rodeo circuit.
Mary Gibson and Cassie Gibson each won titles at the National Little Britches Finals In Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Mary ended up second in the average, fifth in the short go and seventh in the World Senior Girls Breakaway.
Cassie was sixth in the average, ninth in the short go and seventh in the World in Junior Girls Trail. Mary also made the short go (Top 20) in barrels and trail. NLBRA 2020.
Mary is staying in Guthrie to compete in Goat Tying at NHSRA as part of Team Montana.
Havre area athletes also performed strong at last weekend's Malta Rodeo.
Kenzie Kallenberger finished in third place in the Junior Barrel Racing event with a time of 17.99 seconds. Casey Solomon finished in sixth place in the Ladies Breakaway turning in a time of 4.1 seconds.
