News you can use
Why wear a mask? you may ask …
Well other than being a menial task ...
The virus is quiet, the virus is stealthy
Even latching on in secret to the healthy
You may think you’ll be fine, you may think it could never be you
But when it infects your old auntie you’ll wonder “did I do everything I was supposed to do?”
That little cloth square that covers your face
Can diminish the prospects of infecting the human race
We know they’re not comfortable
We know they’re not fun
But you can wear it to protect others, just like a gun
So hook it on your mirror
Keep it ready in your purse
And let’s all avoid putting grandma in a hearse.
