Letter to the Editor - Thanks for attending The Atrium reopening

Editor,

Thank you to everyone who attended The Atrium Grand Reopening Celebration or purchased raffle tickets for the event. We at The Atrium had a great time hosting the event and seeing everyone having a good time. Hopefully, this event is only the beginning of The Atrium putting together a number of new events and activities for people in the community.

The Atrium Mall is one of the oldest buildings in Havre, and we feel it is also an important landmark in our community. For that reason The Atrium should be a place to showcase the finest of Havre’s talents, businesses and community spirit.

Everyone’s donations at the event were very much appreciated and we are eagerly thinking of new ways we can improve The Atrium as well as people’s experiences at The Atrium.

One of the ideas we are working toward is creating a comprehensive website for The Atrium, which will display the number of businesses in the buildings as well as their business hours and promotions. We are also looking into equipping this website to give people the ability to schedule appointments through businesses’ webpages. This way the people in Havre will be able to easily see what businesses are at The Atrium and receive the best customer service possible.

Something else we are looking into for the website is a community calendar. This way the people of the community can see what events The Atrium has scheduled, such as future concerts, wine tastings, book readings and special community events.

The money we raised will also go into a building fund, which will go toward renovating and maintaining the building. Some of these renovations include sanding and refinishing the floors, installing new handrails and a number of other things.

We will continue to fundraise to be able to fund these renovation and maintenance projects and we look forward to finding fun new things for the community to enjoy.

Once again we thank everyone for their support and look forward to what the future has in store for The Atrium and the community as a whole.

Sincerely,

Derek Hann
