Northern radiologymoving on with scheduling in new normal

Four years ago my wife and I moved our family to Havre from the Glasgow area. We have enjoyed getting to know the area and the members of this fine community. Recent events have only enforced our decision to become “Havre-ites”. We’re so proud of our community’s efforts during this pandemic.

However, like most of you, we are also looking forward to a return to “normal.” Being able to go places, spend time with family, visit friends, and resume our favorite activities are at the top of our list!

Here at NMHC our normal processes have been greatly changed. We closed our buildings to visitors. We practice social distancing in our inter-office meetings. We schedule patients to limit wait times and control the number of patients in our waiting room at any given time. We implemented theses procedural changes in an effort to keep the integrity of our buildings safe for the community as well as for our staff.

But now we are open and moving forward with the new normal precautions.

While the cancellation and rescheduling of routine screenings was necessary in the beginning stages of the COVID-19 situation, we are now able to resume our normal appointments, with mammograms topping the list. If you were supposed to have an appointment for a mammogram and had to be rescheduled, please call 262-1218 to be added onto our schedule.

While the procedures on entering our buildings have been altered, our commitment to providing quality healthcare to our community has not changed. We want to assure the public that we are doing our utmost to keep everyone safe and still provide high quality care to our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your provider should you have any questions about your health care. We’re here for you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Walter Smith
