Letter to the Editor - Hate consumes all

Editor,

I am a 89-year-old Korean War veteran. My subject is hate, a self-consuming emotion if there ever was one. 

It abounds in symbols, swastica, burned-out churches, graffiti. It  comes from deep inside ourselves. It is usually something or someone we do not like in ourselves.  It consumes itself and the person who provides it. 

Look at the ashes of hate. What is there, nothing, enough said.
