Cameron James Eagleman, 38, was being held in the Hill County jail this morning on charges including attempted murder.
According to the Havre Police Department dispatch log, officers responded to a call at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday in which the caller said someone was where she was in violation of a no contact order.
Officers arrested Eagleman on suspicion of attempted homicide, strangulation of a partner or family member, assault with a weapon, non-aggravated partner or family member assault and resisting arrest.
He was being held at Hill County Detention Center on those charges. Bail had not yet been set.
No additional details about the arrest were available by printing deadline this morning.
Eagleman had just gotten out of the detention center. He was listed as an inmate being held on a charge of disorderly conduct in Monday’s jail roster.
