Havre and the Hi-Line region got hit with a series of thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening, producing 0.28 inches of precipitation in Havre, as well as pockets of hail up to 1 inch in diameter.
The National Weather Service in Great Falls reports that Havre got more rain then most other areas of the region.
The weather service said the warmer temperatures on Sunday added more energy to the atmosphere strengthening the storm.
Havre Public Works Director Dave Peterson said the Highland Park area got the worst of the rain with an apparently problematic amount of water on the roads, but he said, no flooding or associated issues were reported to the department on account of the storms.
