Nyberg benefit set for Wednesday

A sloppy joe dinner and auction to benefit Angie Maxwell Nyberg is set for Wednesday 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Havre Eagles Club.

Nyberg is undergoing the second round of her battle with cancer.

The benefit is to raise money for Nyberg’s medical expenses and travel expenses for treatment.

She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in July 2018 at Stage 2, she said she went through chemotherapy treatment, underwent a double mastectomy and had reconstruction and radiation surgery.

She finished her reconstruction surgery this past November, but was rediagnosed, with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, in February of this year, she said.

  An auction will take place at 7 p.m., with items such as a barbeque grill, lift chair, artwork and handmade knives being auctioned off. 

Free-will donations will be accepted.
