Test of backup emergency siren set for next week

Hill County Sheriff’s Office and Havre Police Department will be testing the backup emergency warning system sirens Wednesday, June 10, at 10 a.m.

The sirens are located near the cemetery on the west end of Havre and near Legion Park. There will be multiple planned tests during this time and there is no emergency.

This exercise provides the city of Havre and Hill County an opportunity to test their backup emergency warning equipment.

The city of Havre and Hill County utilize CODERED as the primary emergency warning system for all emergency notifications. All primary emergency notifications will first be sent through CODERED and citizens are encouraged to sign up for the alerts at:

1. http://www.ci.havre.mt.us.
