It's been an unusual recruiting season for basketball, but it's still the recruiting season all the same.
And the latest Hi-Line product to achieve her collegiate dreams is Rocky Boy's Sasha Coffee. Rocky Mountain College and head coach Wes Keller recently announced Coffee has signed an NAIA letter of intent to join the Battlin' Bears this fall.
Coffee is a 5-5 guard from Rocky Boy High School, and she helped lead the Morning Stars to a 1B championship two seasons ago, as well as an appearance in the Class B state tournament. As a senior, she averaged nine points and 2.7 steal per contest.
"Sasha came highly recommended by two different coaches within her conference that competed against her during her time at Rocky Boy," Keller said. "She has great range as a shooter and can handle the ball like a point guard. She's proven herself to be a dedicated student and was recognized as one of the leaders in her school, both on and off the court. We are excited to have her join our program."
Coffee is the daughter of Billie Jo and Carter Coffee. She carries a 3.9 gpa and plans to earn a psychology degree.
"I chose Rocky because I get to continue my basketball playing career and doing what I love. It is a very nice school and a great place to further my education."
