Havre issues reminder on tree and shrub branch removal requirements

Havre Daily News staff

The City of Havre has issued a release regarding spring clean-up and tree and shrub debris and branch disposal.

In accordance with City Code 8-3-6, the release said, tree branches and shrubbery cuttings shall be “securely tied in bundles not exceeding four feet (4’) in length,” and grass clippings shall be securely fastened in small containers or plastic bags before being placed in ornext to the garbage containers.

Any unsecured branches and shrubbery will not be picked up.

The City no longer has access to the “Tree Dump” on the north side on Shepherd Road so unsecured branches and debris will need to be hauled to the landfill for disposal.

“The City of Havre appreciates your cooperation and willingness to clean up and maintain your properties to make our community a better place to live,” the statement said. “If you have questions or need more direction please feel free to call 265-6719 or 265-4941.”
