Ruby Florence (Fox) Small, 76, passed away due to natural causes Monday, May 11, 2020, at her residence.
Wake services began at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. today, May 13, 2020, all at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Small Family Cemetery.
Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Ruby was born March 17, 1944, in Red Pheasant, Saskatchewan, Canada, to George and Ella (Wutunee) Fox.
While young, Ruby attended the Onion Lake Residential School. February 9, 1960, she married Paul Small, and the couple made their home in Rocky Boy, where they raised their 10 children.
Over the years, in addition to caring for her home and family, Ruby worked for the Rocky Boy schools and Rocky Boy Headstart. She attended Montana State University-Northern and received an honorary associate degree from Stone Child College. Ruby enjoyed berry picking, sewing, beading, cooking, and playing the machines and was active in the Native American Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Small, Sr .; parents, George and Ella Fox; sister Hilda Fox and brother Ronald Fox.
Ruby is survived by her daughters, Joette, Sharlene, Paulette, Vanessa, Farrah (Lawrence Brockie) and Jalene (Roland Dixon Jr.) Small; sons, Gerald (Misty Denny) Small, Direk Small Sr., Clinton Small and Marty (Sunny W.) Small; 57 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters Audrey Buffalo, Sheila Fox, Elaine Fox, Lorna Fox, Valentina Fox and Sharon Rabbit Skin; brothers Henry, Roger, Daniel, Edgar, Ralph, Leonard, Darrel and Leroy Fox; adopted daughters, Betty Collins, Valerie Standing Rock, Roberta Saddler Sutherland, Leanna Gina Wright, Peggy Myers, Josephine Corcoran, Michelle Bailey, Alaina Buffalo Spirit, Renette, Doris Kaline, Lori Kaline, Deanna Kaline, Mary Deberry, and Cynthia Schmockel; adopted sons, Garrick Ferguson, Joey Arkinson, Burt Medicinebul Jr., Kenny Medicinebull, Chuck Medicinebull, Willie Medicinebull, Elmer Ballentyne, and Thomas Limberhand; adopted sons: Todd Turnsplenty, Cecil Daniels; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
