The Hill County Commission’s weekly business meeting held at 10 this morning ended abruptly after some apparent confusion over whether the proceeding was legal or public.
Hill County Commission Administrative Assistant Brittany Pfeifer said in the chat of the virtual meeting that it was adjourned and there was no further information at that time after the commissioners left the GoToMeeting connection.
Commissioner Mark Peterson said during the meeting he was not sure if it had been properly advertised because it was not advertised as a public meeting but only as a remote access meeting and that he was not sure if it was legal.
Hill County Commissioner Mike Wendland said in a call after the meeting ended he was unable to provide further details, and said his fellow commissioners were busy.
The GoToMeeting connection audio quality was inconsistent and much of what was said was unclear, but the commission apparently did not vote on some of the agenda items.
