Havre Police Department

A McKinley Avenue caller reported Tuesday at 6:54 a.m. that a black Ford pickup was damaged in a hit-and-run crash.

Desirea Lee Writingbird of Box Elder, 39, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a First Street business reported a theft at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday and a caller on Ninth Avenue reported at 5:25 p.m. that a woman was laying in the alley by some trash cans.

Child and Family Services reported a sex offense in the Havre area Tuesday at 5:31 p.m.

Homer Burton Roberts of Butte, 53, was issued a summons on a charge of violation of a protective order after someone stopped at the police station Tuesday at 9:43 p.m. to report a violation.

A 13-year-old Havre girl and a 14-year-old Box Elder girl were each issued a summons on charges of juvenile curfew violation and minor in possession after an officer stopped on Third Street at 2:29 a.m. today to investigate suspicious activity.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated an identity theft issue reported at the sheriff's office Tuesday at 1:46 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Tuesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held seven female cats and four male cats.

The shelter also held a male border collie dog, two female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a female Chihuahua-dachshund cross dog, a female mixed-breed 9-week-old puppy, a female mixed-breed dog and two male mixed-breed dogs.
