Following Gov. Steve Bullock’s announcement Wednesday of a phased loosening of restrictions put in place to slow the spread of novel coronavirus 2019, Northern Montana Health Care released the following update of its under Phase One of the state reopening:
• Starting May 4, the Flu Clinic hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• People are asked to call 262-1570 to make an appointment.
• Drive-ups are welcome — but appointments are appreciated.
• People who need assistance with flu-like symptoms outside of the Flu Clinic Hours call call 262-1570 and the call will roll over to the Emergency Department.
• Northern Montana Hospital opened its Surgical Day Care unit to limited procedures Monday.
• All entry into the hospital will continue to take place through the second floor Emergency Department doors.
• Two lines will be formed.

Emergency
• Only two people will be allowed in the vestibule at one time. People are asked to observe social distancing while waiting. Lines have been painted for convenience.
• People who are arriving for an appointment are asked to arrive only 10-15 minutes prior. This is to help patients and visitors avoid as much contact with others as possible, while also ensuring adequate time to go through the entry process.
• Everyone entering the building will be screened.
• Temperature taken
• Travel history
• Symptoms
• All patients and visitors will need to wear a mask. The public is encouraged to bring their own mask if they have one; or they will be given a mask if they don’t already have one. The mask will need to be worn at all times while inside the building.
• Patients may bring one adult support person into NMH with them when needed.
• Support person will also be screened and required to wear a mask.
• Support person will be asked to not leave the immediate area while the patient is receiving services.
Out-patient
• For scheduled appointments at the Northern Montana Family Medical Center and the Northern Montana Specialty Medical Center:
• Only two people will be allowed in the vestibule at one time. People are asked to observe social distancing while waiting.
• People arriving for an appointment are asked to arrive only 5-10 minutes prior. This is to help patients and visitors avoid as much contact with others as possible, while also ensuring adequate time to go through the entry process.
