News you can use
A photo caption in the story “Some state outdoor recreation set to re-open as Bullock announces Phase I” on the Outdoors page in Thursday’s edition of the Havre Daily News misreported that a sign at Fish, Wildlife and Parks Bear Paw Lake location showed Beaver Creek Park was closed to camping due to COVID-19 restrictions. That was true only at Bear Paw Lake. Park staff said Beaver Creek Park did not close. The only thing the park closed to the public was the park office. Recreation activities such as hiking and overnight camping were never closed, and are still allowed as long as people follow the social distancing guidelines.
