Havre Police Department

Scott Edward Dion of Havre, 62, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, false reports to law enforcement authorities and resisting arrest, during a Tuesday vehicle stop at 11:15 a.m. on 12th Avenue, which was prompted by an 11:09 a.m. complaint from 14th Avenue and First Street that a man driving a Blue Dodge does not have a license.

A caller on Second Street asked Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. to speak with an officer about things missing from the caller's residence. The caller also made a 7:20 p.m. report that someone broke into the residence and stole more items, while the caller was away from home.

A caller at the hospital reported a dog bite at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday.

Garrett Michael Hentschel of Havre, 23, was issued a summons on a disorderly conduct charge, after a caller at 3:35 this morning reported a party down the street.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

An arrest was made on a warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Tuesday at 5:18 p.m. No details on charges was provided.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire on the 900 Block of Fifth Street at 2:01 a.m. today. The fire was in an unauthorized fire pit that was uncovered and within 10 feet of a garage. Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said that fire pit burning is allowed within city limits, but the city regulations need to be followed. People can get a printed copy of the regulations at Havre Fire Department, 520 Fourth St.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held a male 10-month-old kitten, nine female cats and four male cats.

The shelter also held a 22-week-old female mixed-breed puppy, an 11-month-old male mixed-breed puppy, a male mixed-breed dog, a male Labrador retriever, two female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a 10-week-old female American bulldog puppy, a female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a female mixed-breed dog. Three female 7-week-old mixed-breed puppies and a male 6-week-old puppy were also being housed at the shelter.

Births

A girl was born Tuesday, April 21, 2020, to Ashley and Jayde Azure of Havre.
