Officers investigated an animal abuse report from First Street at 11:18 a.m. Wednesday.

An arrest was made during a 6:18 p.m. vehicle stop on First Street Wednesday, after an erratic driver was reported by a First Street caller at 6:12 p.m. and a U.S. Highway 2 East caller at 6:13 p.m. No details were provided on the charges.
Hill County Sheriff's Office
Shannon Virginia Bergren of Havre, 30, was issued a summons on charges of dog running at large, nuisance dog and vicious dog, after a 26th Avenue West caller reported an aggressive neighbor dog at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to a 10:51 a.m. report Wednesday of a transformer sparking in the alley of the 300 Block of Ninth Avenue. They saw no fire at the scene, but stood by until a NorthWestern Energy crew arrived. The cause of the sparks was a power line being hit by tree branches.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held a male 9-month-old kitten, eight female cats and two male cats.

The shelter also held a 10-month-old male mixed-breed puppy, a male mixed-breed dog, a male Labrador retriever, two female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a female mixed-breed dog.
