Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a report made at 8:44 a.m. Friday from a U.S. Highway 2 East business that a trailer had been vandalized.

Officers investigated a report made at 11:44 a.m. Friday from Second Street that a 2002 Dodge Dakota had been struck while it was parked.

Havre Animal Control investigated a report made at 2:05 p.m. Friday from Bullhook Boulevard that a dog had bitten someone.

Officers investigated a report made at 4:03 p.m. Friday from a First Street West business that two vehicles with smashed windows were in the parking lot.

--

An officer making a motor vehicle stop at 7:49 p.m. Friday on Second Street arrested Justin Wade Brown of Havre, 58, on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and on Justice or City court warrants.

Officers investigated a report made at 12:18 p.m. Saturday from Fifth Avenue and 14th Street that someone had shot out a vehicle's window and slashed its tire.

Officers took information at 2:12 p.m. Saturday from a First Street business of a shoplifting.

--

Officers investigated a 2:58 p.m. non-injury crash at Holiday Village Mall between a 1992 Lincoln Town Car and a GMC truck.

Officers investigating at 4:47 p.m. Saturday two men trying to fight on Sixth Avenue and Second Street arrested Tanner Joseph Walker of Havre, 37, on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and James Lawrence Daychild of Havre, 48, on disorderly conduct.

Officers investigated a report at 8:39 p.m. Saturday from a First Street West business that someone had stolen two cases of beer.

Officers investigating suspicious activity at 2:20 a.m. Sunday near a First Street West business arrested Brandon Ray Eagleman of Havre, 31, on suspicion of shoplifting.

Officers investigated a call made at 8:29 a.m. Sunday at Montana State University-Northern Student Housing that a Ford Fusion and Ford Sable were involved in a minor crash where a driver had backed their vehicle into the other vehicle.

Officers investigating suspicious activity at 3:45 p.m. Saturday on 17th Street West arrested Desmond Thomas Ferguson of Havre, 26, on five Justice or City court warrants, and on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and resisting arrest.

Officers responding to a complaint about loud noise made at 1:41 this morning from 10th Street West issued summonses to a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of minor in possession of intoxicants and to a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of MIP and under-age possession or consumption of tobacco and to Mason Lamebull of Havre, 18, and Samantha Bea Huston of Havre, 21, on suspicion of endangering the welfare of children, and to Garreth Jon Robertson of Havre, 19, on suspicion of endangering the welfare of children and MIP and to Kelly Teske of Havre, 24, on suspicion of endangering the welfare of children, unlawful transactions with children and social host violation.

Officers responding to a report at 3 a.m. today from 10th Street West about two people fighting arrested Kaitlyn Carol A Carrywater of Hays, 19, on suspicion of assault.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies responding to a call from a U.S. Highway 2 West business at 5:28 p.m. Friday arrested Flint Walker Blackwolf of Rocky Boy, 32, on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Deputies who responded to a a call from a business on River Road at 3:10 p.m. Sunday arrested Desmond Thomas Ferguson of Havre, 26, on suspicion of theft of labor or services or use of property.

Havre Fire Department

Havre emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Friday, five calls Saturday and responded to no calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a report at 3:07 p.m. Friday from the 600 Block of 13th Street that a switch in a building was sparking. The firefighters turned off the switch and notified the landlord.

Firefighters responded to a report at 5:03 p.m. Friday of a dumpster fire on the 2300 Block of U.S. Highway 2. The firefighters extinguished the fire, apparently caused by a hot item being put in the dumpster, and notified NorthWestern Energy of the fire so it could inspect a nearby electrical box.

Firefighters responded to a report at 9:37 p.m. Friday from the 200 Block of Fifth Street of a gas odor. Firefighters could find no evidence of a gas leak and NorthWestern Energy was called and also found no evidence of a leak.

Firefighters responded to a report made at 8:42 p.m. Saturday from the 1100 Block of Cleveland Avenue of a gas odor. They found a propane tank open on a barbecue grill and turned the tank off.

Firefighters responded to a report at 11:13 p.m. Saturday from the 300 Block of Ninth Avenue of an illegal burn. They found a fire in a barbecuer inside a garage, extinguished the fire and issued a citation for an illegal burn.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held a female 11-month-old kitten, a male 9-month-old kitten, seven female cats, one male cat and one cat of unknown gender.

It also held a 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two male mixed-breed dogs, a male Labrador retriever dog, two female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a male Chihuahua dog, a female 26-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male boxer dog.
