Havre Police Department

Paul Dan Root of Havre, 25, was arrested on charges of criminal contempt and violation of conditions of release in relation to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation at 8:28 a.m. Friday.

A First Street caller reported a theft Friday at 3:51 p.m.

Abigail Rose Myers of Havre, 21, was arrested on a theft charge, after an employee theft was reported Friday at 5:47 p.m. by a caller at a First Street West business.

--

A Fourth Avenue caller reported a theft Friday at 6:09 p.m.

--

A car was reported in a ditch on 15th Street Friday at 8:38 p.m.

--

John O'Claray of Havre, 21, was issued a summons on a disorderly conduct charge after a caller at a First Street West business reported Saturday at 8:48 a.m. a customer had caused damage in the store during the night.

A caller on First Street West reported a two-vehicle, non-injury crash Saturday at 11:40 a.m.

--

Dani Lee Buffalo of Box Elder, 21, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant, during a vehicle stop on First Street West at 10:51 p.m. Saturday.

--

A McKinley Avenue caller reported Sunday at 11:44 a.m. that a mailbox had been hit.

--

A caller on Third Avenue reported Sunday at 4:14 p.m. that a house had been broken into.

--

Five hit and run crashes were reported this morning including on Ridge Road at 4:38a.m., Grant Avenue at 5:12 a.m., Sixth Avenue at 5:13 a.m., 13th Street at 5:33 a.m. and 12th Avenue at 5:39 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

An arrest was made on a warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Friday at 2:42 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

Jacob Allen Keller of Havre, 35, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and possession of dangerous drugs, and Derek Paul Converse of Havre, 35, was arrested on a probation violation charge, after deputies were called Friday at 8:45 p.m. to assist another agency at a U.S. Highway 87 business.

Jeremie Daniel Brandon, of Havre, 43, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at the detention center at 3:53 p.m. Saturday.

--

Julia Rosa Morales or Harlem, 28, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served Sunday at 12:16 a.m. at the detention center.

--

A Sunday 12:49 p.m. report of a non-injury, two-vehicle crash between a semitractor-trailer and a pickup on U.S. Highway 2 West was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

--

Mckenzie Gopher of Havre, 20, was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting, after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Friday, five calls Saturday and three calls Sunday.

Firefighters were called Friday at 12:15 p.m. to the 600 Block of 13th Street West for a smoke odor. A short was discovered in an appliance and the breaker was turned off until an electrician could be notified.

Firefighters responded at 4:26 a.m. today to a fire on the 400 Block of Fifth Avenue. Wooden pallets were burning alongside a storage shed, which had some external damage, but the contents were OK. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, six female cats, two male cats, a female 11-month-old kitten and a male 8-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a male mix breed 9-month-old puppy, two male mix-breed dogs, a male Labrador retriever dog, a female Chihuahua dog, a male Chihuahua dog, a female mix-breed 25-week-old puppy, a female mix-breed 8-month-old puppy and a male boxer.

Births

A boy was born Sunday, March 15, 2020, to Laticia Stiffarm and Dante Valenzuela of Fort Belknap.
